Print driver · Windows
Print to Intelliprint, from any application.
The Intelliprint Print Driver is a virtual printer for Windows. Install it once — then any application with a Print menu can send mail through Intelliprint. Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage, Xero desktop, QuickBooks, your CRM, anything. Pick 'Intelliprint' from the printer list and go.
How it works
Print from any app. We post it.
Install the print driver
Add it once on Windows — it shows up as a normal printer in every app.
Print as normal
Word, Excel, your CRM — the job routes straight to Intelliprint instead of paper.
We post the original
Printed, enclosed, and handed to Royal Mail — no envelope or stamp needed.
Why the print driver
The native-Windows route in.
Zero workflow change
Anything that can print can send mail. No file export, no upload, no dashboard visit. Two-click dispatch from the application you're already in.
Built for non-technical teams
For teams who don't write code and don't want to change their tools. The pipeline is hidden behind the familiar Print dialog.
Perfect for ad-hoc letters
Ad-hoc, one-off letters from Word or Excel. Customer replies from Outlook. Invoice reprints from an accounting package. The right tool for mail that isn't triggered, isn't batched, and isn't worth automating.
How it works
Three steps, one-time setup.
1 · Install the driver
Download the Intelliprint Print Driver (v2.3.1) from your dashboard. Run the installer on any Windows 10 or Windows 11 machine. 'Intelliprint' shows up as an available printer instantly.
2 · Print from any app
Open the document you want to send. Click Print. Pick 'Intelliprint' from the printer list. Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF viewer — whatever application the document is in.
3 · Enter address & send
A dialog opens for recipient address, envelope format, and postage class. Review, confirm, and it goes straight into our production queue. Same-day dispatch before 3pm.
Tested applications
Works with what you already use.
Anything on Windows with a Print menu should work — these are just the most common.
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Both Microsoft 365 and standalone Office versions.
PDF readers
Adobe Acrobat Reader and Pro, alongside other common PDF viewers — for sending existing PDFs without exporting them first.
Accounting packages
Sage 50, Xero (desktop), QuickBooks, and most accounting packages with a 'Print invoice' or 'Print statement' option. Customer mail direct from your ledger.
Business applications
Most case management, CRM, property management, and line-of-business tools that expose a standard Windows Print dialog.
Print driver FAQ
Common questions.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11. No macOS or Linux version today. If your team is on Mac, the dashboard route works well — drag a PDF into the upload panel and it's the same two-click experience via a browser.
What applications does it work with?
Any Windows application that has a standard Print menu. That includes Office, email clients, accounting packages, PDF readers, web browsers, and most business software. If it can print to paper, it can print to Intelliprint.
What version is current?
v2.3.1 is the current release as of this writing. The driver auto-updates where possible. Latest release notes and download links live in the dashboard.
Is it secure?
The document is transmitted to Intelliprint over an encrypted connection as soon as you confirm the send. Processing happens in our ISO 27001 certified Leeds facility and the document is deleted after printing. Same security posture as every other submission route.
Is there an additional cost?
Yes. The driver is free with any Intelliprint account — you only pay per mailing (letters from 84p) at the normal published rates. No per-seat licence, no subscription, no installation fee.
Can I send bulk mailings through the print driver?
The print driver is for single-document, ad-hoc sends. If you're posting hundreds of letters at once, use the dashboard's bulk mail merge, Hotfolders' watched folders, or the API — all better suited to volume.
Ready when you are
